Cowshed Communication asked me to create a short, engaging, and informative animation to help people who are out of work learn how to use their job search site to get back into employment.
I was given a script, which I then turned into storyboards, illustrations, and animation. I enjoyed designing the character, choosing an exaggerated style to represent a labourer who needed to get the hang of using an online service like this, while also showing how straightforward it could be. It was important to use this kind of stereotype, as research showed it was an area where people needed the most help. Since its release, the animation has successfully helped many people navigate the system, leading to more job opportunities in the region.
